To say this year has been trying is an understatement, but that doesn’t mean the holiday season can’t be just as festive as it always has been. During this time when everyone has had to learn to adjust to a new normal, we thought it would be fun to put together a list of holiday activities that are not only entertaining, but also safe. And while 2020 has all of us spending so much more time at home, most of these holiday activities can happen right there. Here are a few of our favorite activities from our 2020 Holiday Bucket List!
Start a New Tradition
The holidays are all about tradition, and we feel like 2020 is the perfect time to start a new one! Whether it’s a karaoke night with Christmas carols, a cookie decorating competition, or a video call with family and friends, that new tradition will no doubt be something you and your family looks forward to for years to come.
Go on a Holiday Light & Decor Scavenger Hunt
Load the family in the car, bring along some homemade treats like cookies and hot cocoa, and roam the neighborhoods in search of holiday decorations. Everyone but the driver will have their own list, and to add a bit of fun competition, you can award a prize to the winner! Download and print your Holiday Light Scavenger Hunt List here.
Have an Indoor Snowball Fight
While this one might sound a little out there, it’s really fun! We discovered fluffy, plush snowballs a few years ago, and bring them out every holiday season. Our take on this traditionally cold activity that requires a winter wonderland is not only warm, but an absolute blast. We like to start with a sneak attack – maybe during that classic Elf snowball fight scene – and then go from there. We promise the entire family will not only love it, but will look forward to the first surprise snowball fight each year!
We hope our ideas have inspired you to try something new this year, and you can download a pdf of our 2020 Holiday Bucket List here. We hope we’ve inspired you to try something new this season, and if so we’d love to hear about it! Tag @thecanigliagroup in your post to share the fun and festivities.
Happy Holidays from all of us at The Caniglia Group!
