Who else is counting down the days to the opening of Mora Italian restaurant on Feb. 3?
We can’t be the only ones excited that Chopped Judge and Celebrity Chef Scott Conant chose Phoenix’s North Central Corridor as the location for his highly-anticipated osteria. Have you seen that video of the ricotta fritters yet?
Mora Italian is one of Phoenix’s most-buzzed about 2017 restaurant openings and it’s got foodies salivating over just the thought of Chef Conant’s wholesome Italian cookery, which is practically synonymous with the New York City dining scene. (He’s the chef-owner of popular Manhattan eateries like Scarpetta and L’Impero.)
Expect to find plenty of Conant’s famous goods on the menu, including Neapolitan pizzas, his signature polenta and freshly made pastas. It’s all dished out in a setting that’s casual and friendly, with some serious North Central style, of course.
What makes a trip to Mora Italian different than other national celebrity chef-driven restaurants in the Valley is that there’s a good chance you might actually spot Chef Scott on your visit. He moved his family out to the Phoenix area in anticipation of the restaurant opening.
Smart man, if you ask us.
