How a Dedicated Community Organization is Shaping the Future of North Central Phoenix

Many homebuyers and sellers may not know about the North Central Phoenix Homeowners Association. The NCPHA dedicates itself to preserving the area’s character and enhancing quality of life. Spanning from Missouri Avenue to Northern Avenue and from 7th Avenue to 7th Street, the NCPHA has represented approximately 2,500 residential and commercially zoned parcels for over 50 years.

Preserving Local History

One of the association’s key initiatives is preserving the area’s lush tree canopy. In partnership with the City of Phoenix, the NCPHA has replaced over 100 trees that were damaged or dying. This ensures that the neighborhood continues to benefit from its signature greenery. Central Avenue is known for its tree-lined streets and the iconic olive trees. These trees are more than 100 years old and are listed on both the State and National Register of Historic Places.

The NCPHA is also committed to maintaining the historic Murphy Bridle Path, working closely with city officials. It traces the neighborhood’s equestrian heritage and remains a cherished feature for both residents and visitors. Additionally, the North Central Phoenix HOA is instrumental in safeguarding Central Avenue’s historic overlay, protecting the area’s historic streetscape.

Serving the Community

Beyond preservation, the NCPHA serves as a valuable resource for residents. It provides homeowners with support and advocacy. This helps to address concerns like inappropriate construction or other issues that may arise within the community. Every year, the NCPHA holds an annual meeting, usually in September. This is when members can voice their concerns, stay informed, and contribute to the neighborhood’s ongoing efforts.

Getting involved with the NCPHA is a great way to connect with other homeowners and take an active role in shaping the future of the community. Whether through volunteering, attending meetings, or staying informed, residents can help ensure North Central Phoenix continues to thrive for years to come.

North Central Phoenix is a vibrant community with a rich history, and the NCPHA is its guardian. For those considering buying or selling a home in North Central Phoenix, the NCPHA’s ongoing efforts ensure that the neighborhood remains an attractive and desirable place to live. Its dedication to preserving both the area’s historical integrity and green spaces contributes to the neighborhood’s appeal.
