We always strive to support local, and since the pandemic we feel it’s become even more important. With that in mind, we decided it’s time to start spreading the local love by spotlighting some of our favorite local businesses. So without further ado, we’d like to introduce Events That Move!
A Large Event Planner
As co-chair of the Lou Grubb Friends Fore Golf Tournament, Erik Jenson met Nicole Bennett of Perry Consulting. Nicole was the event planner for the golf tournament, and carried off the festivities without a hitch. When COVID hit, Nicole found herself needing to make a big adjustment to her business model.
An Innovative Idea: Events That Move
Per Nicole, “I hate COVID and it’s far-reaching effects, but it did force me to be creative and after 20 years in the industry it’s reinvigorating – just like when I first started my business. This project was me trying to create a lifeline for my business when we weren’t sure if large scale events would come back; even now it’s unsure if they will come back at the pre-pandemic volume.”
Nicole adapted her party planning model by scaling it down and creating Events That Move. So much more than mobile catering, this venue on wheels arrives at a client’s location and puts on a full party with all the bells and whistles!
With the side walls up, the client’s open-air venue decorated, and music pumping from the speakers, guests can sit at the bar or a table and enjoy delicious food and drinks prepared by the first class team from Perry Consulting.
Post Pandemic & Thriving
Nicole and her staff are thrilled to be working at levels close to those they experienced pre-pandemic. Feeling it was time for a little fiesta, Erik hired the team for a Cinco De May get together in his cul-de-sac, and it was absolutely fabulous ofcourse! Nicole and her team set up all the festivities including decorations and music, and also served delicious taquitos, mini quesadillas, and margaritas. Check out Erik’s Cinco De May event photos here!
